Company History
LCPI was formed by the merger of venture capital company, Looking Glass Capital Group, based in San Francisco California, with our London, UK based funding and advisory group, LEAP Capital Partners Limited. We are expanding our scope and increasing our international operations in 2007 and 2008, with additional offices and Affiliates being added in N. America,Europe, Asia and the Middle East. In 2008 we are opening our Dubai, UAE office and have recently opened an office in San Diego, California.

About the Founder (Angus Clark)
Angus is the Managing Partner and Founder of LEAP Capital Partners (UK) and CEO of LCP Investmarque Inc. and US REIT Corp. Leap Capital maintains offices in London UK and San Diego USA. Angus has closed numerous private placements consisting of venture capital, private equity and senior and subordinated debt across a variety of industries, as well as leading several mergers & acquisitions and advising on US and UK IPO’s.

Prior to founding Leap Capital Partners in 2003, Angus founded CableTel, S.A, a telecom carrier based in Portugal, which was managed and minority owned by Bechtel Corp. As a San Diego and London-based entrepreneur, Angus founded and managed several successful start-up businesses including an aerospace testing lab and San Diego's first Internet Company (1994). Management and investment advisory work has included dozens of manufacturing, global expansion and high-technology issues.  Mr. Clark specializes in guiding businesses from early-phase through sale, merger or Initial Public Offering. Leap Capital Partners has worked with US, UK and EU companies and understands the complexities of business, market and investment strategies, as well as financial and strategic positioning. Mr. Clark holds an M.B.A. from National University-San Diego, and received his B.S. (ME) from the University of California, Santa Barbara. An early interest in flying culminated in a six year stint in aviation with the US Navy. In addition to serving on several Boards of Directors, Mr. Clark holds both US and UK Citizenship and has significant CEO experience and credentials in the US and EU.

A 26 year San Diego resident, Angus has been involved with many West Coast Startup and Early Stage companies. Angus is well versed in the disciplines of working with funds including fund management, accounting, fund administration, custody, securities lending, investment operations outsourcing, recordkeeping, performance and analytics.He is closely associated at the CEO/VP level with several other Private Equity firms, International Investment Banks and Broker Dealers including:

Patrick Johnson-Senior Partner

Patrick Johnson brings over twenty-five years of executive management experience to InvestMarque. His work as a strategic business consultant has been instrumental in building some of the most successful brands of the digital economy. Mr. Johnson works with each InvestMarque client to validate their business plan and objectives, create strategic brand positioning, required business and financial documentation and partnerships as required to bring the client to market. Mr. Johnson has previously held positions as CEO, CFO, Managing Partner and EVP of sales, marketing and strategic business development for both public and private corporations. In addition to his work with InvestMarque Mr. Johnson serves as a founder, General Partner and Managing Partner of StoryArk Partners, a $200 M movie and television fund dedicated to the creation of family friendly productions.

Prior to joining InvestMarque, Mr. Johnson served as EVP, eCommerce and Marketing for MCE Television Networks, CEO of UIS America, a digital encryption company, Managing Partner of USWeb/CKS, Managing Partner of StartupAcademy and the StartupAcademy Fund, a partnership between USWeb and Microsoft, created golf course real estate trusts for Jack Nicklaus and Billy Casper, managed the consolidation of the medical transportation industry for Laidlaw, consolidated and created the operating models for Apria Healthcare and served in various executive management positions with Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation and Bechtel Group. Mr. Johnson has developed patented technologies in the golf, medical products, computer software and construction industries and was awarded a CLEO award for his teams work on an interactive advertising campaign for Fleetwood Homes. Mr. Johnson earned Cum Laude degrees in Law and Marketing from the University of California, Berkeley.
